Kartikeya and the Slaying of Tarakasura
Following a period of cosmic darkness under the tyranny of the asura Tarakasura, the gods sought the birth of a divine warrior. Kartikeya, the son of Shiva born from the primordial fire, led the celestial armies to the shores of Tiruchendur. With his sacred spear, the Vel, he defeated the invincible demon and restored the balance of the universe.
